Smart Link

Our focus is on implementing "Smart Link SM ", the NCDOT-owned/reserved rail corridor between Wallace and Castle Hayne, NC.  Completion would immediately allow direct freight rail traffic between Rocky Mount and the State Port of Wilmington, NC, and would also facilitate future passenger train service between Raleigh and Wilmington via Goldsboro.
